We regard him as a legend and a figure much respected and feared by many in the management and by his opponents across the negotiation table. 

A true trade union activist, dedicated to bringing justice to workers victimized by employers and government authorities. 

He was an inspiration to many trade union leaders and workers, passionately advocating for their rights. His extensive knowledge of labor laws and SOCSO greatly benefited numerous workers and union leaders in their cases. 

He trained many trade union leaders and spent countless hours, even into the early mornings, preparing and teaching them how to manage challenges. 

He was a walking MTUC constitution, contributing immensely to the administration of the union and welfare of workers and unions in this country. 

He is an advocate who is present daily in the industrial courts, often attending multiple court cases from one courtroom to another in a day. 

With a memory like an elephant's, few could match his recall and comprehension. 

Internationally recognized for his outspoken advocacy for workers, he was respected among global unions, including the ITUC and the International Labour Organisation. 

He played a pivotal role in representing MTUC in labor law reforms, particularly in 2019 and 2020. However, the Ministry of Human Resources regrettably did not heed his calls for change. 

Approachable and affable, he easily made friends and ensured no one was bored in his company. 

We hope one day his four decades of trade unionism will be booked to enrich the knowledge of trade unions, workers, and industrial relations practitioners. 

We extend our sincere condolences to his family members, whom he loved greatly, friends and fellow workers.
