Isu Bantuan Perayaan: Tindakan Menteri Sumber Manusia Mengecewakan
Menurut M.Krishnamoorthy, seorang jurulatih media, profesor adjung, dan penulis, tindakan Menteri Sumber Manusia, Steven Sim Chee Keong 沈志强, berunding dengan Kumpulan Pengurusan Persatuan Bank Komersial Malaya (MCBA) telah mencetuskan KONFLIK KEPENTINGAN MASING-MASING yang signifikan. NUBE melihat tindakan Menteri yang berpihak kepada MCBA sebagai tidak adil.
Setiausaha Agung NUBE, J. Solomon, mengkritik keras tindakan Sim, menyatakan bahawa tindakannya jelas melanggar Akta Perhubungan Perindustrian 1967. "Tidak adil bagi bank untuk membayar setengah bulan sahaja ketika mereka telah mendapat jutaan keuntungan," kata Solomon.

Solomon menambahkan, "Ini adalah bukti campur tangan melanggar piawaian ILO antara pekerja dan majikan."
