KUALA LUMPUR: Majikan tidak boleh memaksa pekerja untuk hadir ke pejabat jika tiada keperluan untuk berbuat demikian.
Menurut Setiausaha Agung Persatuan Kebangsaan Hak Asasi Manusia (Hakam) Lim Wei Jiet, majikan yang berbuat demikian dianggap melanggar Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan oleh Kerajaan.
"Tiada majikan yang bukan dalam kategori perkhidmatan penting boleh memaksa pekerja mereka untuk bekerja dalam keadaan yang bertentangan dengan apa yang digariskan dalam perintah yang diumumkan Perdana Menteri Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin," kata beliau dalam sesi temu bual Consider This pada Selasa malam.
Sekiranya ada majikan yang bertindak sedemikian, pekerja terlibat boleh membuat laporan polis kerana ini merupakan satu kesalahan.
Beliau memberi respons kepada pertanyaan sama ada majikan bukan dalam kategori perkhidmatan penting boleh memaksa pekerja mereka untuk bekerja dalam keadaan yang disifatkan melanggar Perintah Kawalan Pergerakan.
