Kesatuan menyatakan Menteri Steven Sim Chee Keong 沈志强 telah melanggar Seksyen 19 Akta IR 1967 , dengan mengadakan prosiding perundingan tanpa wakil kesatuan sekerja yang merupakan pihak dalam pertikaian perdagangan dan bertindak seolah-olah sebagai pihak majikan.
Ini mengakibatkan pekerja menerima tawaran yang lebih rendah daripada perjanjian Bantuan Perayaan sebelumnya. Situasi ini menimbulkan soalan penting: Adakah benar-benar ada 'keadilan' untuk pekerja dan kesatuan sekerja di negara ini?
