THE National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) has created a history by embarking on a special study involving its members, with regards to the affordability to own a house at the present moment.

Under the title “NUBE’s Zero Per Cent Interest Rate on Housing Loans Campaign”, the survey which began on May 29, 2016, will see the participation of all NUBE members.

NUBE General Secretary, Bro J. Solomon said that this is the first time “we are conducting our own study, on a large scale for the benefits of members of NUBE and families.”

The survey, which is using questionnaire methodology and is being carried, will sought members view on the affordability of owning a house, and also their opinion on NUBE’s current Zero Per Cent Interest Rate on Housing Loans Campaign.

A special briefing session was conducted for NUBE National Leaders on May 28, 2016 at NUBE House, exposing them to the tool-kits and procedures in conducting an interview, and collect the data. The survey is targeting 1,000 respondents and will be carried by more than 80 survey officers.

Bro Solomon expressed his hope that every members will play their role to ensure that survey will achieve its objective as it will reflect true and factual needs of members and the statistics.

“The Exco urges everyone to play their role. This findings of the survey not only will help us in achieving the objective of the current Campaign and will be an evidence of our collective participation to own a home,” he said.
