NUBE is indeed proud about its members for their committed and dedicated service to the public in the midst of the Movement Control Order (MCO) imposed by the government. We admire your courage to serve the public despite the risk of being exposed to the deadly Covid 19. Needless to mention that NUBE members have been so committed despite having to face many a hardship both in the banks and home front.

It is indeed adorable that NUBE members recognising that banks are essential in nature in a crisis situation like this since the public is in dire need for cash transactions and that the banks cannot simply shut down its operations in this trying situation.

NUBE takes pride to place on record its appreciation and tribute to its brave and courageous members at this hour of need to protect the interests of the nation.

Despite the commitment and dedication of NUBE members, it has been reported that our members were subjected to unwarranted hardships and certain shortcomings in preventive measures in some banks. Hence, NUBE having urged the MCBA to take remedial actions, many banks have already implemented the work from home, providing of food, flexible working hours to those need to take care of children etc.

We also wish to appreciate the banks which have been prudently handling related issues in the midst of the crisis and fervently hope few other banks too to follow suit.

While the banking operations are scaled down to reasonable levels we are hopeful that the trying situation could be overcome as fastest possible in order to return to normal life for all Malaysians.
