In the early morning on 1st April 2017, more than 100 NUBE members and their families assembled at the foothill of Kledang Hill, Ipoh, eagerly awaiting and ready to hike up the hill. This outdoor recreational activity was organised by the Women Committee of NUBE Ipoh Branch.
After a brief speech by the Ipoh Branch Chairman, Bro S Kalaiselvan and a light exercise, all the participants started the gradual uphill hike along the accessible tarmac road towards their destination at a small park which was located halfway to the RTM station.
The participants had a lot of fun chatting along the way and some of them were trying to beat each other in their quest to reach the final destination. Upon reaching the park, the group had a rest while enjoying the cool, fresh air as well as the scenic view of the City skyline before they descent downhill.
The hike ended with all the participants being treated to a light breakfast by the Union Branch.
Overall, the participants enjoyed themselves very much and were satisfied with this outdoor activity, as besides improving their physical health they were able to spend quality time with their families.
