TEMERLOH 22 Mac- Seramai 22 peneroka Felda Bukit Damar dan Felda Lakum dekat Lancang, di sini menerima insentif sifar hutang sebanyak RM5,000 setiap seorang.
Daripada jumlah itu, seramai 13 peneroka dari Felda Bukit Damar manakala selebihnya dari Felda Lakum.
Insentif berkenaan disampaikan Pengerusi Felda, Tan Sri Shahrir Abdul Samad dalam satu majlis di sini hari ini.
Shahrir berkata, insentif tersebut adalah sebahagian daripada penghargaan Felda kepada peneroka yang sudah bebas daripada hutang bersama agensi berkenaan.
"Seramai 7,000 peneroka di seluruh negara yang tidak mempunyai hutang dengan Felda akan menerima insentif ini.
"Bila kita lupus hutang peneroka yang lain, kita dapati ada yang tiada hutang. Jadi kita bayar RM5,000 tunai," katanya ketika berucap pada Majlis Ramah Mesra Bersama warga Felda Bukit Damar hari ini.
Yang hadir sama Ahli Dewan Undangan Negeri (ADUN) Lancang, Datuk Seri Sharkar Shamsuddin.
Sempena majlis itu, Shahrir turut mengadakan sesi dialog untuk mendengar permasalahan peneroka di Felda Bukit Damar dan Felda Lakum.
