KUALA LUMPUR: Malayan Banking Bhd (Maybank) akan terus mengambil pekerja walaupun menghadapi pelbagai cabaran berikutan ketidaktentuan ekonomi global.
Ketua Pegawai Modal Insan Kumpulan Maybank, Nora Abd Manaf, berkata bank itu tidak akan bertindak membuang pekerja secara besar-besaran walaupun menghadapi tekanan ekonomi, termasuk kenaikan kos.
Katanya, Maybank tidak akan berhenti mengambil pekerja tetapi akan berhati-hati, terutama dalam memilih calon yang tepat dan pada masa sama tidak mengetepikan pekerja sedia ada.
“Maybank sentiasa memerlukan pekerja dan idea baharu bagi memastikan kami akan terus berdaya saing dan berkembang di peringkat global.
“Ia termasuk mencari cara baharu dalam menghadapi ekosistem dan perkembangan teknologi yang canggih hari ini,” katanya kepada pemberita selepas melepaskan acara peringkat akhir global Maybank GO Ahead Challenge (MGAC) 2017 di sini, hari ini.
Nora berkata, pekerja baharu bukan sahaja dapat memberi input baharu, tetapi juga membantu pekerja sedia ada berkembang dan maju.
MGAC, peraduan bakat perniagaan, adalah sebahagian daripada aspirasi bank itu bagi mewujudkan kumpulan pemimpin perniagaan dan pakar kewangan masa depan kelas dunia untuk rantau ini.
