Pulau Pinang – 28 April 2017, NUBE Northern Region diketuai oleh Timbalan Presiden Sdr Abdul Jamil Haji Jalaludeen yang juga Naib Pengerusi Malaysian TUC Bahagian Pulau Pinang bersama-sama dengan Secretariat NUBE NR dan kesemua Ahli-Ahli Jawatankuasa NUBE Northern Region telah mengambil bahagian dalam “Hari Memperingati Pekerja 2017” anjuran Malaysian TUC Bahagian Pulau Pinang yang telah menganjurkan aktiviti ini tanpa gagal selama 23 tahun.
Hari Peringatan Pekerja (Workers’ Memorial Day) ini akan disambut pada setiap tahun di seluruh dunia pada 28 April, satu hari antarabangsa bagi memperingati para pekerja yang terkorban, cacat, cedera semasa waktu bekerja.
Slogan pada setiap tahun adalah “memperingati kepada yang telah meninggal dan berjuang bagi yang hidup”.
