KUALA LUMPUR: Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) menyifatkan pengeluaran duit Kumpulan Wang Simpanan Pekerja (KWSP) sebagai melanggar objektif untuk menjadikannya sebagai ‘aset’ selepas bersara.
Presidennya, Datuk Abdul Halim Mansor berkata, simpanan tersebut tidak sepatutnya dikeluarkan kerana akan berpotensi memberi implikasi buruk ketika persaraan.
Malah katanya, tiada jaminan wang yang dicarum ketika masih berkhidmat mampu menyara kehidupan selepas bersara.
“ Telah dijangka dengan umur persaraan 60 tahun RM150,000 mesti minima tersimpan dalam KWSP dengan caruman majikan 12 peratus dan caruman pekerja 11 peratus.Wang ini adalah untuk persediaan perbelanjaan harian dan perubatan. Pekerja swasta tiada menerima bantuan kerajaan walaupun telah bersara.
“Simpanan KWSP sahaja yang bakal menanggung keperluan hari tua. Kalau dibenarkan keluar, lebih ramai rakyat Malaysia daripada sektor swasta yang tiada simpanan,” katanya ketika dihubungi Utusan Malaysia semalam.
Sebelum ini, kerajaan digesa mempertimbangkan pengeluaran KWSP sehingga RM10,000 secara one-off daripada Akuan 1 masing-masing.
Bagaimanapun Perdana Menteri, Tan Sri Muhyddin Yassin berkata, sukar untuk kerajaan mempertimbangkan cadangan pengeluaran caruman KWSP yang boleh memberi masalah besar pada masa depan. -UTUSAN ONLINE
