Kesatuan Kebangsaan Pekerja-Pekerja Bank (NUBE) telah mengambil langkah drastik dengan membuat laporan polis kedua terhadap Menteri Sumber Manusia, Steven Sim, atas tuduhan salah guna kuasa. Menurut Setiausaha Agung NUBE, J Solomon, laporan ini dibuat kerana Sim merujuk pertikaian antara NUBE dan MCBA mengenai bantuan perayaan ke Mahkamah Perusahaan, walaupun perundingan masih sedang berlangsung. Tindakan ini bertentangan dengan prosedur yang sepatutnya, dan Solomon menegaskan bahawa hal ini tidak seharusnya terjadi jika tiada 'kebuntuan' dalam perundingan. Tindakan Sim ini didakwa telah menjejaskan kira-kira 15,000 ahli NUBE dalam kategori B40 dan M40, menyebabkan mereka mengalami kerugian yang tidak perlu.
