KOTA BHARU, 23 Julai: Prof Madya Dr Louis Adaikalam hari ini berkongsi satu topik yang cukup menarik untuk perhatian para peserta Persidangan Kebangsaan NUBE.
Meskipun ia kelihatan sebagai satu isu yang mudah dan ringkas, tetapi isu tidur tidak berkualiti dan tidak mencukupi sebenarnya merupakan punca kepada semua masalah besar dalam jangka panjang.
"Tak cukup tidur adalah punca kepada semua masalah," kata CEO Alpha International Training and Consultancy Sdn Bhd dan Presiden Persatuan Sleep Apnea Malaysia.
Bercakap di bawah tajuk "Sleep Apnea", beliau berkata, setiap orang perlu mendapat purata lapan jam tidur yang berkualiti dan mencukupi.
"Jika tidak cukup tidur, ia boleh membawa kepada masalah lain di tempat kerja... seperti kemalangan akibat tidak cukup tidur, kemerosotan produktiviti," kata beliau.
Dr Louis berkata, kesemua pihak termasuk pekerja dan majikan perlu memberi perhatian dalam perkara ini.
