MELAKA, 6 Julai: NUBE SMJ telah menganjurkan Seminar Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan (OSH) sehari untuk ahli-ahli NUBE di Melaka, 2 Julai lalu.
Salah satu objektif utama seminar ini adalah mewujudkan kesedaran tentang OSH, iaitu keperluan berkanun di tempat kerja di bawah Akta Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan 1994. Selain pelbagai seksyen, peraturan dan jadual yang terkandung dalam akta tersebut, para peserta juga berpeluang memperoleh pengetahuan mengenai penggunaan prinsip-prinsip Pengenalpastian Bahaya, Penilaian Risiko dan Kawalan Risiko (HIRARC).
Seramai 33 peserta yang mengambil bahagian dalam seminar tersebut memberikan maklum balas yang sangat positif memandangkan ia merupakan satu pengalaman pembelajaran baharu dan bermanfaat.
Seminar dikendalikan oleh Presiden NUBE dan Setiausaha Kehormat Cawangan SMJ, Sdra Michael Tan, yang baru-baru ini telah menghadiri seminar tiga hari bertajuk "OSH-C, Penyelaras Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan" di Institut Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan Kebangsaan (NIOSH).
