KUALA LUMPUR,24 Jun: Kesatuan Kebangsaan Pekerja-pekerja Bank (NUBE) kehilangan seorang lagi pejuang kesatuan sekerja - iaitu Sdr R. Chandrasekaran.
Mendiang telah menjalin hubungan baik dengan NUBE dan memberi sumbangan daripada segi kepakaran dan pengetahuan yang bernilai dalam mengemudi kesatuan.
Sdr Chandrasekaran merupakan mantan Setiausaha Agung Kesatuan Kebangsaan Pekerja-pekerja Suratkhabar (NUNW). Selepas bersara mendiang telah menyediakan perkhidmatan sebagai Perunding Keselamatan dan Kesihatan Pekerjaan untuk NUBE.
NUBE menghargai sumbangan-sumbangan bernilai dan persahabatan beliau.
"Pemergian Sdr Chandrasekaran satu kehilangan besar kepada pekerja-pekerja di negara ini. NUBE mengucapkan takziah kepada keluarga mendiang," kata Setiausaha Agung NUBE, J Solomon.
Mendiang yang lahir pada 22 Ogos 1957 meninggal dunia semalam.
Upacara pengebumian akan berlangsung hari ini.
