Please be duly informed that NUBE not only welcomes the above but deems it necessary in view of the ever rampant cases of sophisticated cybercrimes and material greed. These shortcomings in human values if not checked will lead to corruption and abuse of power that will tarnish the reputations of otherwise esteemed organisations.

We must also be mindful not to participate in nor be party to spreading any form of unconfirmed or fake news for which we can be subject to unnecessary litigation or prosecution especially when the anti-fake news law comes into force.

This will also ensure that financial institutions undertake rigorous screening procedures for their new hires as integrity will be critical in enhancing confidence in the financial system.

Stringent measures should also apply to expatriates to guard against introducing unhealthy work cultures such as prioritising corporate greed at the expense of our Malaysian culture of giving considerations to human and family values.

Please also be reminded that any executive from supervisory level upwards to top management who violates the Collective Agreement, which has cognizance from the Industrial Court, will be in breach of the Malaysian Law and the actions of said violator will be deemed tantamount to abuse of power.

In view of the above, NUBE has no objection for our members participating in the above Corruption Free Pledge.
