Baru-baru ini BH online telah memetik laporan kajian yang dibuat oleh sebuah syarikat perunding terkemuka Eropah iaitu Roland Berger
Kajian tersebut menyatakan bahawa hampir 600 cawangan bank di Malaysia akan ditutup akibat pengecilan operasi perniagaan runcit yang menyebabkan pelanggan beralih ke perkhidmatan digital.
Ia juga turut menyatakan perkara ini 'selaras' dengan sasaran jelas kerajaan terhadap perkhidmatan digital.
Kenyataan ini amatlah membimbangkan serta menimbulkan persoalan kerana mengapakah kerajaan mengambil langkah sebegini tanpa memikirkan apakah yang akan berlaku kepada pekerja - pekerja khususnya golongan B40 dan M40 dalam industri perbankan?
