KUALA LUMPUR : Banjir yang melanda negara lebih teruk kali ini berbanding tahun - tahun lalu. Ribuan rakyat terjejas, dengan kerosakan rumah dan harta benda serta tersadai. Setakat ini tiga orang dilaporkan mati.
Segelintir pekerja bank turut terkesan akibat banjir in di beberapa negeri. Kesatuan Pekerja Bank Kebangsaan (NUBE) sudah tampil memberikan bantuan kepada mereka ini.
Di Johor, NUBE menghulurkan bantuan kepada tiga pekerja dan keluarga mereka yang terjejas akibat banjir. Kesemua pekerja berkenaan adalah kakitangan Public Bank.

Bantuan telah disampaikan oleh Sdr Tan Eng Hong, Presiden NUBE, merangkap Setiausaha Kehormat Cawangan NUBE Seremban, Melaka dan Johor.
Bantuan yang diberikan tidak lah seberapa tetapi di harap dapat meringankan beban tiga keluarga berkenaan dalam mengharungi banjir kali ini.
Marilah kita sama-sama memberi sokongan moral kepada Siti Zahariah bte Ibrahim, Pn Norsyuadah bte jaafar dan Bro. Khairuddin Bin Jasmin agar mereka tabah dalam menempuhi dugaan mereka.
NUBE akan terus membantu ahli NUBE yang telah menjadi mangsa banjir dan mengalami kesusahan.
