Steer and Porter (1975), has identified the importance of work for human in (4) four factors:
a. Employment as a means of exchange for remuneration or income so that people can have the basic necessities in life.
b. Jobs allow people to form social relationships. Humans can form relationship and through friends can create a social group in the workplace.
c. Each job has its own status. Humans can obtain status through the work he does.
d. Employment is a source of identity and respect for the human being. When humans have a job, he/she will be known, respected and admired.
Psychologist Bekke’s Study (1981) states: People who do not have work experience stress, frustration, aggressiveness, irritability, loss of sanity, less judgmental and so on.
This is because humans will lose their self-value as a useful and productivity worker for the community and the nation
