17th/18th April 2020. Kuala Lumpur.
On 17th April 2020 we had 193 locations with 31 volunteers and 16 cars and were able to deliver most of the locations.
On 18th April 2020, we were surprise to have MTUC SG Bro J SOLOMON who visited the Bangladesh Embassy early morning to see for himself the work of the volunteers and the MRC Coordinator and Officers.
On behalf of MTUC Bro J Solomon thanked all volunteers for their dedicated service to workers in need during this global pandemic crisis and unprecedented MCO in Malaysia and also conveyed greetings from the President of MTUC.
He also shared with us that it has taken Covid19 to remind us how to keep our hands clean and the proper way of washing our hands and we foresee our behaviour pattern to change after MCO, hopefully for a better Malaysia.
Meanwhile, he also advised all volunteers to take extreme care and follow the guidelines of ensuring the protection gears are applied while carrying out their noble service.
On 18th April 2020 we had the biggest number of 40 volunteers with 22 cars and 483 locations to be delivered.
It was indeed great to see the joy and unity among the volunteers as they coordinate in this delivery of groceries to the needy workers in various locations.
MTUC extends its gratitude to those who are taking all the time and putting in the effort for this. As of 18th March 2020 we have successfully delivered to 1631 in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor locations.
