ABM: Business as usual for commercial banks on July 8
KUALA LUMPUR : The Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM) clarified that it will be business as usual on July 8 for commercial banks.
Only bank branches in Kelantan and Terengganu would be closed as both states observed Friday as their weekend as well as in Pulau Pinang in conjunction with the Georgetown Heritage Day, ABM said in a statement.
This clarification was made following the announcement by Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Dr Ali Hamsa who declared that Friday, July 8 as a special day-off for Federal civil servants in the event Hari Raya Aidilfitri falls on July 6. – BERNAMA
