PM umum suntikan RM250 bilion bagi lindungi rakyat, sokong ekonomi
Perdana Menteri Muhyiddin Yassin mengumumkan suntikan sebanyak RM250 billion dengan matlamat melindungi rakyat, menyokong perniagaan dan memperkukuhkan ekonomi dalam menghadapi kesan pandemik Covid-19.
Jumlah itu termasuk suntikan fiskal sebanyak RM22 bilion, jaminan kerajaan sebanyak RM55 bilion dan lain-lain inisiatif yang mencakupi lebih RM153 bilion.
Daripada keseluruhan jumlah tersebut, yang turut merangkumi RM20 billion yang telah diumumkan sebelum ini, hampir RM128 bilion disalurkan untuk melindungi kebajikan rakyat, RM100 bilion untuk menyokong perniagaan termasuk Perusahaan Kecil dan Sederhana (PKS) dan RM2.0 bilion untuk mengukuhkan ekonomi negara.
Perdana menteri dalam ucapan beliau berkata keutamaan kerajaan waktu ini adalah untuk membendung penularan wabak Covid-19.
Pakej Prihatin ini akan menyediakan bantuan segera untuk meringankan beban yang ditanggung oleg semua rakyat, jelasnya.
