24 Mac 2018 - Colombo, Sri Lanka - Delegasi NUBE Malaysia yang diketuai oleh Naib Presiden Bro Chee Yeeh Ceeu bersama Bro T. Sethupaty (KLSP), Bro Jeevan M. Vijayan (PKP), Bro Zubir Ahmad Ghulam Kadir (IPOH), Bro Mohamad Heillis Misdi (SMJ) dan Bro Cheon Tiong Eiw (KT) menghadiri majlis pecah tanah tradisional untuk Bangunan Ibu Pejabat Ceylon Bank Union (CBEU) dan Auditorium yang terletak di Maradana City.
Delegasi dari luar negara, bekas-bekas Pemimpin, Pegawai-Pegawai CBEU dan Ahli-Ahli CBEU telah hadir untuk menyaksikan upacara yang amat bermakna itu.
Bangunan baru yang dicadangkan akan menampung Auditorium Standard Antarabangsa dengan kapasiti duduk 650 pax, sebuah Pusat Latihan untuk kajian Kesatuan Sekerja dengan kemudahan penginapan, kemudahan perpustakaan untuk mengkaji Pergerakan Kesatuan Sekerja Antarabangsa dan Sri Lanka, kafeteria, kemudahan penginapan untuk ahli-ahli dari luar datang ke Colombo dan juga kemudahan gymnasium.
Bro Chee dalam ucapannya mengucapkan tahniah kepada Kepimpinan CBEU yang terdahulu dan kini dalam usaha mereka untuk mencapai matlamat Kesatuan mereka untuk memiliki sebuah Pusat Latihan untuk Ahli-Ahlinya.
Delegasi NUBE juga berpeluang untuk melawat Ibu Pejabat CBEU yang terletak di Temple Road, Colombo dan menghadiri majlis untuk menghargai kepimpinan CBEU yang lalu.
NUBE Malaysia mengucapkan tahniah kepada CEBU atas usaha ini dan meluaskan hasrat terbaiknya untuk kemajuan dan kejayaan membina Ibu Pejabat dan Pusat Latihan baru.
