It is with great sadness we announce the passing away of Mrs P. C. Gomez nee Matilda Gomez on 26th September 2018.
Her husband, the late Mr P.C. Gomez was the Founder President of NUBE. Mrs Gomez was a pillar of strength to Mr Gomez. She single – handedly took care of the family of five boys and a girl while the husband was in the forefront organising the National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) and trying to conclude the first collective agreement for the bank workers.
The union will always be indebted to the family for the sacrifices they endured during the turbulent years.
An NUBE delegation of officials from the headquarters and Ipoh Branch Committee members led by Bro J Solomon the General Secretary, attended the funeral service at the Church of Our Lady of Lourdes Ipoh on 28th September 2018 and expressed their heartfelt condolences to the family.
May her soul rest in peace and we also pray that the children and grandchildren will find strength to bear the loss of their mother and grandmother.
May our condolences bring them comfort and may our prayers ease the pain of this loss.
