KUALA LUMPUR, 9 Julai: Pada 7 Julai lalu, keluarga NUBE telah mendapat perkhabaran yang menyedihkan daripada Saudari Irene kerana suami beliau, juga seorang sahabat kita, Saudara Shashi Kumar yang berkhidmat di Alliance Bank, telah dimasukkan ke Hospital Kuala Lumpur pada petang dua hari sebelum itu.
Kejadian berlaku di ruang tandas tempat kerja beliau. Tindakan pantas sahabat-sahabat kita di tempat kerja dengan membawa Saudara Shashi ke klinik berdekatan untuk mendapatkan rawatan awal telah membantu mengurangkan risiko yang lebih memudaratkan keadaan kesihatannya.
Ahli Jawatankuasa NUBE, Saudara Fauzie dan Saudara Rahmat telah hadir selama dua hari berturut-turut di Hospital Kuala Lumpur untuk memberikan sokongan moral kepada Saudari Irene.
Saudara Shashi telah menjalani pembedahan dan telah ditempatkan selama dua hari di Unit Rawatan Rapi sebelum dipindahkan ke wad biasa.
Seluruh ahli keluarga NUBE mendoakan agar beliau kembali pulih sepenuhnya dengan segera.
