KUALA LUMPUR - Desakan kajian semula gaji minimum RM1,050 yang diputuskan kerajaan PH sebelum ini akan di bawa ke mesyuarat Kabinet akan datang untuk dibincangkan semula.
Menteri Sumber Manusia, M Kula Segaran berkata, pihaknya mendengar dan akan meneliti memorandum yang dihantar oleh Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) serta beberapa badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) hari ini untuk tindakan susulan.
Menurutnya, perkara berkenaan akan di bawa semula ke kabinet untuk dibincangkan serta mencari tindakan susulan lebih baik.
“Pandangan mereka akan kita pertimbangkan. Saya setuju ada beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan penetapan nilai sedemikian (RM1,050) iaitu kegawatan ekonomi negara dan terlampau banyak hutang.
“Apabila kita ambil alih kerajaan pada 9 Mei lalu, kita tidak sangka jumlah hutang negara banyak. Untuk sementara waktu kita putuskan RM1,050,” katanya selepas mempengerusikan pertemuan hampir satu jam di bangunan sementera Parlimen.
Sebelum itu, lebih 100 orang yang terdiri daripada kumpulan pekerja berarak dari Padang Merbok ke Parlimen bagi membantah gaji minima RM1,050.
Demonstrasi aman itu digerakkan Kongres Kesatuan Sekerja Malaysia (MTUC) bersama Parti Sosialis Malaysia (PSM) dengan sokongan beberapa NGO lain.
