Bank HSBC mendakwa bahawa Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) telah meluluskan pengeksportan pekerjaan tempatan ke Hyderabad, India dan Sri Lanka serta vendor lain di Malaysia yang tidak berkesatuan.
Pengeksportan pekerjaan atau outsourcing ini menyebabkan Bank HSBC melaksanakan Skim Pemisahan Sukarela yang mensasarkan lebih 300 pekerja termasuk 200 ahli NUBE.
Ini adalah satu lagi tindakan berbentuk memecah-belah kesatuan (Union busting) oleh HSBC. Tambahan pula, HSBC mendakwa ia memperolehi kelulusan BNM untuk berbuat demikian.
Sudah lebih seminggu NUBE menulis kepada BNM untuk mendapat pengesahan terhadap dakwaan HSBC itu.
Bagaimanapun, kami tidak memperolehi sebarang maklum balas daripada BNM.
Pada 28 November 2019, NUBE sekali lagi menulis kepada BNM memohon pengesahan berkenaan.
Kali ini, surat NUBE dihantar ke cawangan BNM di Johor Bahru dan Pulau Pinang selain kepada pejabat Gabenor Bank Negara di Kuala Lumpur.
Lima hari sudah berlalu dan NUBE masih menanti-nanti jawapan Bank Negara.
